Caroline, the founder of The Locavore Guide, previously owned a little pencil shop on the Lower East Side called CW Pencil Enterprise. One of the products she developed during this time was this very pencil! The Baseball Scoring Pencil! It's made by General Pencil Company, across the river in Jersey City, NJ, so when we decided to open The Locavore Variety Store, it's was a no-brainer -- the Baseball Pencil was making a comeback!

Cased in quality California incense cedar, this pencil is dark and smooth, but holds a point well enough to get all the detail you need in those tiny squares. And because mistakes happen, it's topped with a soft pink eraser. The design was inspired by 1940s baseball tickets and while Caroline chose colors to reflect those of the baseball itself, let it be know that she's allegiant to the Mets and the Pirates :)

Grade: the equivalent of a B or 2B, making its versatile for drawing and writing!

These pencils come in a box of 6, pre-sharpened.

Fun fact: General Pencil Company was founded in 1889 and is the oldest in the country! AND it's still owned by the original family!
